African Art Comes to Year One!

Year One have enjoyed exploring a variety of African Art to celebrate Black History Month.

We discovered that particular colours and shapes are used in African Art. We used these when creating our own collage creations.

Reception children were asking questions about how things work, looking closly at change.

The children like using their imagination in art and design. They explore colour, texture, shape and space in two or three dimensions.

Water fun - filling containers full, half full and empty! The children were using developing mathematical ideas to solve practical problems.
